The places we live shape us more than we realize.
For twenty years, walking through thousands of homes, I noticed something nobody talks about: the places we live shape us more than we realize. Not just emotionally — physically. The materials around us, the air we breathe, the products we reach for twice a day — they become part of us.
Most people are doing everything right — eating well, exercising, trying to manage stress — without realizing that their home environment may be quietly working against them. Hidden toxins in cookware, furniture, personal care products, and building materials don't announce themselves. They accumulate.
Sereno exists to fix that. To give people the knowledge, the plan, and the exact products they need to turn their home into the healthiest place in their life.
These aren't "alternative" questions—they're fundamental ones. With microplastics now confirmed in our cardiovascular systems, brains, and reproductive organs, environmental toxins aren't a future concern—they're a present reality.
We delve deep
What cookware are you using daily?
What chemicals are you breathing while you sleep?
What's leaching from your food storage containers?
What's in the personal care products you apply to your skin twice daily?
How we work together

Nice to meet you
Danielle D’Ambrosio, Esq.
Founder of Sereno Wellness
Danielle D'Ambrosio, Esq. has spent twenty years as a real estate attorney, broker, and licensed general contractor — which means she sees homes the way most wellness consultants simply can't. She knows what's inside the walls, what's in the systems, and what builders and landlords don't tell you.
After her own health wake-up call, she trained at Harvard Medical School in lifestyle medicine and founded Sereno. She now splits her time between Boston and Italy, and brings together everything she has learned — about homes, bodies, and how we actually live — into a single, practical, personalized service.
Her clients don't have to research, compare, or wonder. She has done that work. They just have to follow the blueprint.
A story I tell often.
Michael was in his late 60s — disciplined, meticulous about his health. Impeccable diet. A consistent exercise routine. He'd seen the best specialists in Boston for nearly a decade, chasing answers for chronic respiratory issues, psoriasis, and a persistent brain fog that had quietly stolen his sharpness. Nothing resolved it.
I walked into his home and identified the problem in five minutes.
Glade plug-ins — several of them, worst of all in his home gym where he breathed them in every morning. Synthetic air fresheners like these release a continuous stream of volatile organic compounds, phthalates, and formaldehyde into the air we breathe. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. Breathed in daily, in an enclosed home, they quietly compromise the respiratory system, inflame the skin, and cloud cognition. His home smelled lovely. It was poisoning him.
We unplugged them, ventilated the space, and replaced them with nothing.
Three weeks later, Michael had not had a single symptom.
This is what I do. Looking at what lives in your home that no specialist thought to ask about.
Your home shapes how you feel, how you sleep, how clearly you think, and how you age. I'll help you design one that works for you.
